Each Monday, Curio412 will be highlighting good news of service and innovation in our communities both near and far!

Today we are sharing news from the Cancer Caring Center, an organization dedicated to providing free emotional support services to cancer survivors, their friends and loved ones.

When Covid-19 hit, the Cancer Caring Center was running 29 in-person support programs per month. In short time, the Center trained 20 professional facilitators to transition to Zoom. Participants were also supported and given one-on-one time to get comfortable with virtual setting.

Going virtual increased access and created new opportunities to provide vital support services. The center currently offers:

👥 Virtual Support Groups

🏥 Guest Speakers such as nurse navigators, oncology doctors, and pharmacists

💬 One-on-One Online Therapy

🙏 Weekend Yoga
